Chief Operating Officer - Winnipeg MB

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Delta 9 is looking to for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations. The selected incumbent will be strategic, driven and a visionary to lead the organization. The COO will report to the CEO and President, and develop a vision and strategic plan in collaboration with the Board, CEO and Executive team. The COO will coordinate and assign action items and hold all teams accountable for their roles and functions within the business and ensure all business units are focused on a common goal. This role will oversee all areas of the business; B2B and Grow Pod sales, Cultivation and Wholesale and the Retail businesses.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Design and Develop company operations with a focus on the customer, both internal and external.
• Oversee the operations of the company and work with the executive teams for aligning company objectives.
• Proven leader with demonstrated change implementation and engagement for driving success
• Proven experience in financial management and business administration, developing and implementing annual budgets, reaching targeted sales and operational plans with an Executive team.
• Experience developing and adjusting KPI’s to drive operational goals.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Sanitation/Fabrication Technician - Winnipeg MB

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Delta 9 is currently seeking a high energy, self motivated individual to join our Sanitation/Fabrication team in a Full-time, permanent position. This is a full-time position offered Monday to Friday, from 7am-3:30pm. The Sanitation/Fabrication Technician will be working in accordance with our Sanitation Manager to complete a schedule of daily tasks as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to keep our facility clean and well maintained. These responsibilities will include washing various workplace items used for plant growth, laundering various linens and basic maintenance of various workplace equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving forklift – (we will train for this)

• Changing air filters throughout all grow rooms

• Fabricate and install irrigation systems

• Fabricate and install plant shelving

• Perform daily checks on ventilation, lighting, and plumbing

• Run the drain systems

• Tear down grow equipment

• Empty grow pods of plant pots

• Sanitizing grow rooms

• Use of chemical cleaners

• Develop ideas to improve operations

• Complete documentation as required to support Quality systems

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must have completed high school diploma or GED equivalent

• Must be able to work as a team

• Must be able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.

General Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Implement effective social responsibility and compliance measures

IPM Technician - Winnipeg, MB

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Delta 9 Bio-Tech Inc. is the premier licensed Manitoba Cannabis producer under the Cannabis Act. We are currently seeking a high energy, self-motivated Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a full-time position offered Monday to Friday with a staggered shift start time between typically from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, 7:30 am – 3:00 pm, or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This position will require shift flexibility, weekend work, holiday work, and/or overtime work, as required. The IPM Technician will report to the IPM Supervisor and will complete a schedule of daily tasks as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation and application of chemical pesticides and beneficial biological controls to cannabis plants.

• Operation, sanitation, troubleshooting and maintenance of backpack sprayers, hydraulic sprayers, and ultra-low volume sprayers.

• Application and assessment of pest monitoring devices for both the cannabis and non-cannabis pest control program in accordance with SOPs.

• Pest Identification.

• Cannabis crop scouting and monitoring for pests and signs of infestation and/or disease.

• Recording data and creating scouting and pre-harvest reports.

• Completing the IPM lab sanitation and inventory checks.

• Documentation preparation and completion in accordance with SOPs.

• Cross-training in cultivation activities to develop an understanding of techniques including but not limited to propagation, transplanting, and pruning.

• Other Duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Knowledge of safe work procedures for chemical pesticide applications is considered an asset.

• Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy, greenhouse pests, viruses and diseases is considered an asset.

• Able to work in an environment where exposure to pollen, allergens, chemical pesticides, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, high humidity, heights, indoor air conditioning, no air conditioning, frequent motion, background noise, and vibrations may be present.

• Must be able to pass a criminal record check.

• Must have completed high school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Ability to obtain a Manitoba Core, Greenhouse, and Structural Commercial Pesticide Applicator License is required for this role.

• Previous experience working with cannabis under Health Canada regulations (MMAR/ACMPR/Cannabis Regulations) considered an asset.

• 1+ years’ experience implementing IPM methods in greenhouse and/or cultivation environments is preferred.
